  • Gardening - It is that time again - time to pull out the plants, seeds  and shovels and help to get the garden growing. We have begun to plant. Have you always wanted to enjoy fresh produce grown with no pesticides or artificial fertilizer? Now is your opportunity to do so and be a part of a group that shares the fun, the labor and the rewards of growing vegetables and flowers! Some of the produce is sold at the local Farmer's Market to support the expense of the garden and to support Eastside Community Center. Some of the produce is shared with those who participate in the garden or working at the Farmer's Market. We also use produce from the garden in our food pantry.  When the vegetables  start coming in, we will start canning lessons.  There are still openings available for volunteers who wish to be an active participant in the Community Garden. Contact us for more information.
