We are now taking appointments

for low and moderate income taxpayers

to have their taxes prepared by trained AARP volunteers.

Volunteers are at Eastside Monday and Saturday mornings.

  Volunteer Opportunities 

Empty Bowls

The 14th annual Empty Bowls Dinner is planned for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 28 at

Central Middle School.

Eastside is one of the benefactors of this event.

 There is a need for people to help with

• Set Up from 2 to 4:30

• Clean Up at 7:30

• Dining Room Help ( passing out water, bread...)

The cost for all-you-can-eat soup, bread and beverage is

$10 for adults 

$3 for children under 10.

Desserts will be available for an additional $2.



 The Granny Connection

Grandmothers to Grandmothers Easing the pain of HIV/AIDS

Will be at Eastside on a regular basis making

glazed pecans that they sell to raise funds.

The Granny Connection is deeply dedicated

to provididing support, advocacy and funding to

grandmothers in Africa who are raising children orphaned by AIDS.

Can you come in and help bag?

Help is needed 1:30 to 4pm

• The 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month
• The 1st and 3rd Friday of each month
