This week we received a Thank You note that we want to share with you. Without the support, time and contributions of people like you, we could not do all that we do!

"Remembering back to my childhood I remember with anticipation looking forward to Christmas morning. Little did I know the worry and concern my parents must have had trying to buy for five children.  This year, I learned how it felt with 7 children, a one income family, when my husbands hours have been cut back. The only distraction away from where our Christmas would come from was 'how will we keep food on the table?' Thanks to the Eastside Community Center, my burden was lifted. You not only help us with meals but also helped with our Christmas! No words can express our gratitude for all the help. You people are a God send. But above all the help you give is the warmth we feel whenever we come in there. You really make people feel loved! That, in itself  is a gift! Yes, I still worry about finances, but I no longer feel completely alone and that in itself is a gift!

Our Mission

Eastside has always provided family recreational, educational, and cultural activities. Lately, however, we have seen more demand for services and resources from families facing or at risk of crisis.

While some look for Washington to provide financial help, Eastside is committed to helping build our community's economic recovery from the family-level up, with programs like Individual Development Accounts (IDA), financial literacy classes, Home Buyers' Club, and foreclosure intervention.
